Gobleg

Gobleg Village is the oldest village in Catur Desa Adat Dalem Tamblingan, being the first settlement built after the Tamblingan community descended from Alas Mertajati at the end of the 14th century. The name Gobleg derives from the original name of the area, Hunusan. As the ancestral village in the customary system, Gobleg is the seat of the Dane Pengerajeg (the highest customary leader) responsible for all matters of adat, spiritual affairs, and governance across Catur Desa. Leadership titles in Gobleg are passed down by lineage, not direct election. Gobleg is known for the deeply rooted tradition of gangsing (spinning top) competition. In 2023, the Gobleg Gangsing Team won second place at a national competition in Kuningan, West Java.
