This is not a visit. We came to bridge Tamblingan’s living wisdom with knowledge villagers can still hold long after we leave.

In Banjar District — especially Munduk and Gobleg — rare strengths sit side by side: the headwaters and ecology of Lake Tamblingan, the customary forest of Alas Mertajati, and flagship crops like clove and coffee. The landscape is primed for sustainable growth, and just as vulnerable when modernization outruns local capacity to steward it.

Mekar Banjar 2026 stands in that gap. Land restoration, health services, waste systems, early weather warnings, creative economy, and youth education — all aimed at keeping Alas Mertajati and Lake Tamblingan as foundations of wellbeing without stripping away adat meaning.

Accelerating local community competence, optimizing environmental systems, and sustaining the customary ecosystem — through a multidisciplinary approach in Munduk and Gobleg.
